Cross Faith

Soldiers Of The Cross

Theological And Moral

Because of their great significance, please permit us to look at the following.

The way of the Cross demands a change. And that change is total in its complexion and total in its movement.

Satan has been very successful at pulling the Faith of the Church away from the Cross to other things. He really doesn't care what the other things are, or how holy they might be in their own right, just so it's not the Cross. That's why Paul said, as stated, "Christ sent me not to baptize" (1 Cor. 1:17). Paul wasn't denigrating Water Baptism, but rather telling Believers that their emphasis must always be on the Cross, and never on the side issues, as important as they might be in their own right.

I suppose that the greatest weapon that Satan has used in these last several decades to destroy Faith in the Cross, has been the "Word of Faith Message". Now that particular name or title may definitely include people who do not have erroneous doctrines, but for the most part, it refers to an erroneous direction.

AS Judaism was the great hindrance to the Message of Grace during the time of Paul, the so-called "Faith Message" is the great hindrance presently. In fact, in my opinion, it is worse even than Judasism.

First of all, the faith which is proposed is really no faith at all, at least that which God will reconginize. And let us say it again.

If it's not Faith in "Jesus Christ and Him Crucified", then it is not Faith that God will recognize. (1 Cor.1:17-18, 21, 23: 2:2, Col. 2:14-15; Eph. 2:13-18). The "Word of Faith" teaching totally denigrates the Cross. It is referred to as "past miseries", or even as "the greatest defeat in human history." It also teaches that the Blood of Jesus Christ didn't atone. While it will say out of one side of its mouth that the Blood does atone, it will then turn around and say, but not within itself. And with that little hook, people are made to believe that they are teaching and preaching the Blood, which they aren't.

They teach that Jesus became a sinner while on the Cross, died as a sinner, which means that He died spiritually, thereby went to Hell, and we speak of the burning side of Hell, and there suffered for three days and night the agony of the dammed. At the end of the three days and nights, they continue to teach, God then said, "It is enough," meaning that He had suffered enough. He was then "born again", even as any sinner is Born-Again, and then resurrected. So when they talk about a person's faith in Christ in order to be saved, they're speaking of trusting Christ and what He did in the pit of Hell as a lost sinner. Incidentally, all of this is pure fiction, with not a shred of it being in the Bible. But sadly, untold millions believe it!

Blasphemy!

The teaching of the "Word of Faith Message" of which I have given in brief, is none other than blasphemy. IT cannot be construed as anything else. To believe such a doctrine, which is the worst perversion of the Atonement that Stan has ever concocted, is none other than believing a lie. That's why Paul also said:

"Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith (Jesus Christ and Him Crucified is "the Faith") : prove your own selves, know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except you be reprobates?" (2 Cor. 13:5).

AS should you be obvious, these are strong terms as given by the Holy Spirit through the Apostle. In effect, he is saying that any doctrine, any teaching, that eliminates the Cross can only be termed as a reprobate doctrine, which produces "reprobates." "Reprobates" in the Greek is "adokimos," and means "rejected, worthless, cast away." So in effect He is saying that any other type of faith is a "worthless faith". This means that if it's faith other than "Jesus Christ and Him Crucified", then it is a worthless faith, irrespective as to what it might be, or what it might claim.

The Truth is, anyone who takes unto themselves the false message of the "Word of Faith" doctrine has taken a path that will ultimately lead to spiritual ruin.

I agree, we must keep our focus on Christ and Him crucified. I do not see how people can say Jesus died a sinner, unless they are mis-interpreting the scripture - he who knew no sin, became sin. The Bible says He (Christ) was the propitiation (atoning sacrifice) for our sin. We need to stay true to the Cross.

Praise God brother. You are so right. I love this quote in the bible. You have touched the correct subject. Most of these people do not know that they are preaching, or teaching, or even listen to false doctrine. I fell under this code when I was a child. I was raised in a church that preached many false doctrine but I did not understand what I was hearing. Those people truly believe what they are saying. That is why someone needs to stand up and explain the scriptures, and pray that God will open up their blinded eyes. I will be posting on more doctrines later on. "Jehovah's witness", "Catholic", "Mormons", "Spoken Word", "The Money Doctrine" and so many more that are lost in a false doctrine. I think we need to see what God says and not what man says. Praise God and thank you.
